One day, there were two best friends named Sam and Lucy. They had been inseparable since they were toddlers and had grown up together, always getting into some kind of mischief. Sam was a tall, lanky boy with curly blonde hair, while Lucy was petite and had big, sparkling blonde eyes.

One summer day, while walking in the park, they stumbled upon an old, abandoned house that had been the talk of the town for years. Sam, being the brave one, suggested they explore the house. Lucy, being the adventurous one. She readily agreed.

They climbed over the broken fence and walked towards the house. As they entered the house, they noticed that it was very old. The wallpaper was peeling off, and the furniture was covered in dust. The floorboards creaked as they walked, and they could hear the sound of their footsteps echoing throughout the house.

As they walked through the living room, they noticed a photo album lying on the coffee table. They picked it up and started flipping through the pages. The photos were of a family, and they could tell from the faded dates on the back that they were taken a long time ago. Suddenly, they heard a loud noise coming from upstairs, and they froze.

Lucy nodded her head, and they slowly made their way up the stairs. They searched every room, but there was no one there. As they were about to leave, they heard the noise again. This time, it was coming from behind a door they had missed earlier. They were very scared they slowly opened the door, and to their surprise, they found a room filled with old paintings.

The paintings were beautiful and looked as if they were from a different era. Suddenly, the old painting made a strange sound. They both stared in at the paintings, and suddenly, they felt a cold breeze blowing from the window. As they turned around, they saw a shadow moving on the wall.

They both screamed and ran out of the house. As they were catching their breath outside, they noticed an old man sitting on a bench across the street, watching them. Sam and Lucy were curious, so they walked toward him.
