African American lit……(1 / 2)

I'm going to talk about African American literature. Let us go into African American literature and see the brilliant flame that can erupt when the black flame burns in clusters.

I will divide this into three parts. First, the definition of African American literature, second, combined with some representative writers and works in African American literature to analyze the often apperared themes of African American literature, and finally to make a summary of African American literature.

So, what is African American literature?

African American literature, body of literature written by Americans of African descent. It begins with the works of such late 18th century writers as Phillis Wheatley.

In broad terms, African-American literature can be defined as writings by people of African decent living in the United States. It is highly varied. African-American literature has gradually focused on the role of African Americans within the larger American society and what it means to be an American.

The birth of African American literature is much more difficult than the birth of any other nation's literature. There was a century and a half between the arrival of the first slaves in North America in 1619 and the appearance of the first African American literature after the 18th century. African American literature is full of pain tempered by the misery of our ancestors and the resilience that goes with it.

Besides, there are complex human nature in African American literature. This is an interesting point. In the narrative of African American writers, it is not all the slave owners who abuse the slaves as we imagine., and the slaves hate the slave owners very much. There are also some good white farmers.
