1、馬德裡也馬德拉確實都是愛叔叔的地址，也許馬德拉是常住，馬德裡是小住？也許愛叔叔當年在馬德裡小住了一陣子。原著21章的說到那封信件時寫道：“日期是三年前”，所以三年前也許他在馬德裡住過，後來離開了。

2、譯者的謬誤，馬德拉(Madeira)和馬德裡(Madrid)，多少有點相似？然後譯者不小心譯錯了?這個我個人認為可能性很大。

3、夏洛蒂勃朗特當年的筆誤...如果真是如此，就是完全無法考證了。如果勃朗特當年真的寫的是馬德裡…誰能說清她是筆誤呢還是就是想寫馬德裡呢？

為進一步縮小可能範圍，我下一步查找了原文書。通過尋找我的原文書（好在我大學買過一本原文的Jane Eyre），第21章裡這封信的英文原文是‘MADAM,- Will you have the goodness to send me the address of my niece, Jane Eyre, and to tell me how she is? It is my intention to write shortly and desire her to come to me at Madeira. Providence has blessed my endeavours to secure a competency; and as I am unmarried and childless, I wish to adopt her during my life, and bequeath her at my death whatever I may have to leave.- I am, Madam, etc., etc.,

‘JOHN EYRE, Madeira.’

請注意，是“Madeira”——馬德拉...

所以經過詳儘考證，不存在其他可能——馬德裡隻說隻是源於譯者的謬誤...

砍死這些不負責的譯者吧….一個錯字害多少人啊…..
